The Hometown Heroes Awards Luncheon was started in 2003 in order to recognize African Americans who have made significant contributions to life in Beloit and surrounding areas.
Beloiters are rightfully proud of our African-American history. As in any community though there are significant contributions made by gifted, caring and hard-working individuals that too often go unacknowledged.
The Angel Museum is exceedingly proud and thankful for these members of the community we share together. We’re glad to be able to recognize these individuals for their selfless and frequently anonymous contributions. They’re our Beloit Angels.
